There's no place like home

Arm cuff - Claires

Trousers - Tkmaxx
Heels - Newlook

It's been so long guys. Well, not really. But you get what I mean.
I got so emotional when I found this amazing original kente blouse made for me when I was 15 from the kente fabric my grandmother owned. And yes. After 5 years I'm still the same dress size. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing aha.I've worn this twice because it's very delicate and it means so much to me.
I love incorporating my Ghanaian culture in my style and I remember purchasing those wide leg trousers and thinking when will I ever wear these? It's so not me. But look what we have now.
With Kente you can go crazy with jewellery and accessorising. Kente is a fabric for royalty and Ghanaian royals wear a lot of gold jewellery so I cannot picture anyone wearing kente with minimal jewellery. It doesn't do it justice.
I love how other aspects of this outfit compliment my kente blouse. I think i did my Grandmother proud.
